Hyogo Foods Promotion Council

Purpose

Given that safe and locally-produced foodstuffs are drawing consumers’ attention now, it is of vital importance for Hyogo Prefecture that the production, distribution, and consumption of Hyogo’s locally-produced excellent agricultural, marine and processed foods be enhanced through various measures. One such measure is the promotion of the Certified Foods of Hyogo system in which the local government confirms and accredits the quality and safety of agricultural, marine and processed foods that have unique and special features, further bolstering their competitiveness by establishing brands that utilize local strengths, and comprehensively promotes identifying new demand through overseas sales and promotional activities of locally-produced foodstuffs in Hyogo foods.

Programs undertaken by the Council

Programs to expand the production, distribution and consumption of Hyogo-produced excellent agricultural, marine and processed foods, including the Certified Foods of Hyogo (implemented by the Certification Group).
Programs to contribute promoting overseas export of Hyogo-produced agricultural, marine and processed foods (implemented by the Export Group).
Programs which encourage the branding of Hyogo-produced agricultural, marine and processed foods.
Management of the Brand Consulting Office (implemented by the Branding Group)
Programs other than above aimed at achieving the purpose of the Council.
